The Philippines is a tropical country in Southeast Asia that’s a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. For three hundred years, the country had been a colony of the Spanish crown. After them came the Americans who stayed for half a century until after the Second World War. Also, the Chinese have stamped their mark on the country through trade and by settling down in communities across the archipelago.
